The DNA Informant
Since DNA testing was first used in forensic studies in 1985, it has become an increasingly powerful forensic tool for investigating and prosecuting a wide range of criminal cases from extremely violent offenses including rapes and homicides, as well as decades old cold cases - to high volume crimes such as B&Es. It is also used to provide post-conviction relief to prove innocence.
As the scope of potential uses of DNA evidence has expanded, so has the demand for its application in criminal casework.
DNA Labs International is proud to provide a bi-weekly newsletter, The DNA Informant, which is a compilation of up-to-date news stories from a variety of sources, involving DNA testing and its most recent applications in new and ongoing court cases and testimonies.
Every issue also contains a section entitled “Did You Know” where we present one of the latest developments in the field or relevant information such as newly available government grant postings and training opportunities.
All of us at DNA Labs International hope that you find this Newsletter informative and useful.
